Український поступ в історії створення Міжнародного та національного товариств ґрунтознавців (1907–1928)

У статті розглянуто історію зародження ідеї об'єднання світової ґрунтознавчої наукової спільноти, розкрито науково-організаційні підходи задля розвитку педології як самостійної науки. Проаналізовано результати роботи перших профільних наукових форумів, скликаних з метою створення Міжнародного товариства ґрунтознавства (ISSN/ISSS) та пізніше Українського товариства ґрунтознавців (УТГ). Відстежено послідовність подій у розвитку галузевої наукової думки та розкрито динаміку зміни її пріоритетних напрямів, виділено українську складову. Хронологічні межі дослідження включають 1907–1928 роки — від перших зборів наукової спільноти в колишній Російській імперії, де було вирішено проводити періодичні з'їзди ґрунтознавців, та I Міжнародної агрогеологічної конференції до Всеукраїнської наради ґрунтознавців (1928), яка стала вирішальним кроком у справі створення національного галузевого товариства на теренах України. Всесвітні Конгреси та, між ними, міжнародні та національні конференції, з'їзди і численні наради дозволяли науковцям обмінюватися думками, досягати наукового консенсусу і тим самим розвивати та вдосконалювати методологічні та теоретичні основи ґрунтознавства. Наукові дискусії та колективні польові екскурсії, як традиційні атрибути зборів різного рівня, також були необхідним доповненням до дослідницького процесу. Так спільними зусиллями у творчій роботі ґрунтознавчих колективів різних поколінь та країн викристалізовувалися основні напрями досліджень, наукові положення та гіпотези. Для забезпечення послідовності відображення подій матеріал представлено у хронологічному порядку. Розкрито діяльність українських учених Г. Г. Махова, О. Н. Соколовського, Д. Г. Віленського, Г. М. Висоцького, Ф. І. Левченка, В. І. Крокоса, М. К. Крупського та інших у справі створення Українського товариства ґрунтознавців і розбудови системи національної консолідації знань про ґрунти. Особливий інтерес для висвітлення цієї теми становили галузеві періодичні видання досліджуваного періоду. Першочергової значущості надавали вивченню опублікованих офіційних документів наукових та громадських організацій і державних установ – постанов, протоколів, рішень наукових форумів та нарад. Це стало підґрунтям для уточнення окремих суперечливих моментів у висвітленні історичних подій, і допомогло розкрити логічність їх послідовного ряду та збагатити реальним тематичним змістом. Матеріал доповнено особистими спогадами та враженнями вчених від участі в окремих подіях світового рівня. Важливим результатом дослідження є конкретизація процесу еволюціонування сучасної громадської організації — Українського товариства ґрунтознавців та агрохіміків. Фактично доведено дату його заснування.
