Understanding is substantiated by the method of analytical review of classic scientific publications fertility, as the ability to produce one or another crop of plants, as the main property soils, distinguishing them from other natural bodies and determining their most important role in sustaining life on Earth. This role is determined by limited resources on Earth - heat, moisture and food, which in total create this or that biopotential of the environment.
