Abstract

The article presents national approaches to the structure of soil databases in four countries of Southeast Europe
- Bulgaria, Moldova, Romania, and Ukraine. The methods of data collection and systematization are shown and
the main sources of information are listed. Possibilities and examples of data application in scientific research
and assessment of the state of soil and land resources are demonstrated. Special attention is paid to the analysis
of the acceptability of national databases for their integration and harmonization in the international information
space
