The methodology of developing measures for increasing the moisture content of soils in the agrarian landscape includes a consistent methodological analysis (using GIS technologies) on the following thematic stages: (1) estimation of the heterogeneity of natural factors of moisture content (humus content, density of structure, soil leaching, degree of protection by forest strips, others) for revealing differentiated influence of measures of soil protection agriculture;(2) the theoretical substantiation of the cluster method of the most important associations of factors that influence water availability in order to formalize this process; (3) assessing the functioning of the agro-landscape on the content of available moisture or its deficit, based on the peculiarities of geostatistics of agro-physical and agrochemical properties of the soil;(4) elaboration of empirical models of moisture provision for separate periods (October-April and May-September).The article presents the practical results of optimization of water availability parameters in various natural and human groups of agrolandscapes in the system of heterogeneity of relief, soil (humus content, erodibility, moisture deficit) and ecological factors and their interrelation with periods of organogenesis of agricultural crops
